Interested in sponsoring a petting zoo?

Bar C Ranch is a local, family owned and operated business that has been offering educational petting zoos since 1998. We at the Bar C Ranch are committed to the concept of educating while we entertain.

We travel with our animals to a variety of events, including festivals and fairs throughout the Northern Virginia area. Through our educational signs and shows, we teach people about a wide variety of species ranging from camels to spiders, and llamas to African tortoises. We hope that by giving people of all ages an opportunity to meet these animals up close, they will gain an increased respect for all animals and the world that we share with them.

Through these shows our visitors learn such amazing trivia as how being bitten by a tarantula could save your life, and why a mother wallaby can produce two kinds of milk. They will also learn about the animals habitat, diet, and behaviors. Our shows involve the audience as much as possible and offer visitors opportunities such as bottle feeding baby animals.

Our zoos are designed to provide a save environment for visitors of all ages to have a hands on experience with our animals. Informative signs are presented on all of the pens so that visitors can learn about the animals while they interact with them. We hope that every person who enters the zoo, regardless of age, will leave it having learned at least one thing that they did not know before.

Our animals are friendly and many have been raised by our family since they were babies. They enjoy interacting with people almost as much as the people enjoy petting and feeding them. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is always on hand to answer questions and to help our visitors enjoy the zoo to the fullest.

Unfortunately, the care and feeding of our animals, along with our insurance and the upkeep for the zoo is expensive, and we have to charge people for our services. We are asking for companies like yours to sponsor our zoo at their local fairs this year. We hope that this will allow us to share our love, and knowledge of animals with even more people.

As a zoo sponsor your company will be acknowledged with a banner at the front of the zoo to let people know who to thank for their free admission. You will also be given space on the table at the front of the zoo to provide business cards or other information about your company. Your sponsorship dollars are tax deductible as advertising.

Throughout the year we bring our zoos to many events such as birthday parties and office picnics. We also present our educational shows at libraries and schools. Fairs and festivals, however offer us a unique opportunity to reach out to the public, and to combine our largest zoo set up with our educational programs. For these events we offer educational shows that feature individual, or groups of animals in the zoo.

We strive to keep our animals happy and healthy, and are licensed by the USDA and the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. We also pride ourselves on keeping our zoos safe and clean.
